Project Overview
This project is a religious and cultural women’s outreach initiative in Iraq, supervised by the office of the esteemed Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussain Al-Najafi (may his shadow endure). The general supervisor of the project is His Eminence Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Ali Bashir Hussain Al-Najafi (may his successes continue).
Project Goals
The project aims to elevate women in society by promoting general knowledge in various areas:
- Doctrinal Level: Establishing resilience and protection for women from deviance and harmful ideologies.
- Jurisprudential Level: Teaching essential religious matters and how to apply them in daily life.
- Ethical Level: Preparing women to be active members of society through personal righteousness and integrity, enabling them to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Social and Family Level: Achieving stability that allows women to live peacefully, away from family and social disintegration, and finding solutions to family issues.
All of this is achieved according to the Islamic perspective as represented by the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Infallibles (peace be upon them).
Methods of Implementation:
- Recruiting female preachers by collaborating with women’s religious schools, oratory institutes, and building partnerships to enlist competent preachers.
- Establishing branches of the project (the Women’s Religious Outreach Project in Iraq) in various provinces.
- Engaging directly with women in the community through lectures and religious outreach courses.
- General Lectures: Available at all times and not limited to specific occasions.
- Seasonal Lectures: Tailored to specific religious occasions.
- Short- and Long-term Religious Courses.
- Online outreach through social media platforms.
- Opening local centers to attract women for religious education.
- Establishing a religious school.
- Organizing conferences.
- Celebrating religious events.
- Conducting Quranic courses.
Target Audience
- The project focuses on remote areas.
- It primarily targets young women.
- The program includes both young and adult females.
- It is not limited to Najaf but extends to most Iraqi provinces, districts, and regions.
- Educational institutions such as schools, institutes, and universities are also included.

3. | Muharram Propagation Program | This program consisted of religious lectures focused on jurisprudence, creed, family, and social issues, held in mourning gatherings at the homes of Ahl al-Bayt followers. Female preachers recounted the tragedies of Imam Hussain and the ordeals of his family, deriving lessons from their lives. 4. | Safar Propagation Program on the Occasion of Imam Hussain’s Arbaeen | This propagation program included sessions on guidance, teaching of ablution and jurisprudence, and Quranic recitation. Conducted over eight days in Hussaini processions along Ya Hussein road and other routes leading to Imam Hussain’s shrine, it was managed by a group of dedicated religious studies students. 5. | Second Al-Aqeela Course in Hussaini Oratory | This extensive course provided training in Hussaini oratory, focusing on delivering lectures and conducting gatherings. It was held in person at one of the Anwar Foundation halls for religious studies students from various seminaries in Najaf. 6. | Propagation During the Fatimiyya Days | This program involved religious lectures focused on jurisprudence, creed, family, and social issues, held in mourning gatherings at the homes of Ahl al-Bayt followers. Female preachers recounted the tragedies of Lady Fatimah (A.S.) and derived lessons from her life. The program began on 11/18/2022 and lasted about two months, covering all three narrations of her martyrdom anniversary, with 20 preachers participating. | Approximately 113 beneficiaries |
7. | Religious Courses (“Lady Zahraa is Our Role Model” Program) | This program included religious lessons in jurisprudence and Quran, along with general lectures on ethics and family guidance, presented in a simple, practical manner. It included religious event commemorations, recreational trips, and incentive gifts. Sessions were held in the homes and Husseiniyahs of believers, targeting women in their local areas. 8. | Lady Zahraa Memorial Gathering on the Fatimiyya March | Held for one day annually on the anniversary of Lady Zahraa’s martyrdom (second narration) on 12/9/2022 at the Lady Khadijah Hall in the shrine of Imam Ali (A.S.) within Fatima’s courtyard. The program included Quranic recitation, Lady Zahraa’s (A.S.) visitation, a religious lecture, and a mourning gathering, concluding with a eulogy and an introduction to the Fatimiyya march organized by the office of the esteemed Sheikh Marja (may his shadow endure). | 175 beneficiaries |
